Gregory and Rebecca Ortyl sold a three-bedroom, one-bath home at 527 Olive Court in Webster Groves to Brian Chier and his wife, Julie, for $350,500 on Nov. 25.

The Ortyls paid $344,500 for the property in July 2005.

The 1,907-square-foot house was built in 1928.

Mr. Ortyl is vice president for wireless backhaul sales at Level 3 Communications, a communications and information services company.

Prior to joining Level 3 Communications, he has served as a national account director at FiberTower, a backhaul and access transport provider. He was also a director of carrier sales at Lightcore, a Chesterfield-based provider of wholesale bandwidth transport services to telecommunications carriers and service providers.

Earlier, he was a sales director with C3 Networks, now Grande Communications. He has also worked at BTI Telecom, New Edge Networks, Gabriel Communications and Southwestern Bell Wireless.

He graduated from Saint Louis University, where he obtained his bachelor's degree in communications and his M.B.A degree.

Ms. Ortyl is a residential sales specialist at the Town and Country office of Coldwell Banker Gundaker.

She is formerly a designer at Hawse Design Group.

There have been 385 sales in Webster Groves in 2008, with a median price of $199,950.
