Insurance company CEO sells 3BD

David D. Chomeau and his wife, Elizabeth, sold a three-bedroom, 1.5-bath home at 425 Way Ave. in Kirkwood to John and Kimberly Wantz for $495,000 on Dec. 19.

The Chomeaus paid $400,000 for the property in Oct. 2003. The 2,330-square-foot house, which was built in 1932, is in Leffingwells.

Mr. Chomeau is the president and CEO of Reliable Insurance Co., in St. Louis.

He previously served as a senior instructor for the Naval ROTC unit at Marquette University until 1965.

He also currently serves on the board of directors of the United States Navy Memorial and on the advisory board of the Children's Home Society of Missouri.

There were 482 home sales in Kirkwood in 2008 with median sales price of $196,750.
