Albert Niedringhaus was assistant superintendent of the Granite City Steel Co. in 1912 when he owned this house. He was the son of Granite City co-founder William Niedringhaus. The company manufactured steel, tin plate and sheet iron. Niedringhaus was also director of the Granite City National Bank.
