Hall of Fame writer owned this house

St. Louis Post-Dispatch sportswriter Bob Broeg owned this house. He wrote for the Post-Dispatch from 1945 until his death in 2005. Broeg was inducted into the Cooperstown Baseball Writers Hall of Fame in 1979. He is credited with giving Cardinals great Stan Musial the nickname "Stan the Man" and is said to have written more for the Post-Dispatch than any other writer in the paper's history.
