Anita Gaebler Knight lived in this house from 1926 until she passed away in 1977. She was a former president of the St. Louis chapter of the Writers' Guild. Gaebler-Knight was also a St. Louis socialite who was a writer and director of pageants and plays. She danced in the 1914 Pageant-Masque in Forest Park.
