Moloney Electric Co. co-founder owned this house

Thomas Moloney owned this house from 1922 to 1953. He was co-founder of the Moloney Electric Co. The Moloney Electric Co. was founded in St. Louis in 1898. By 1949 the company was a $10 million corporation and the largest exclusive manufacturer of transformers in the United States. Moloney Electric merged with the Central Transformer Co. of Pine Bluff, Arkansas in the mid-1960s. In 1973 the company closed its last St. Louis plant after a 77 year presence in the metro area.
