Renowned stained glass artisan owned this house

Emil Frei Jr. was president of Emil Frei Inc. in 1961 when he owned this house. Emil Frei Jr. and his father were stained glass artists. Emil Frei Inc. consisted of Emil Frei Associates in St. Louis and the Ravenna Mosaic Co. in New York. Frei Jr. designed the windows at St. Francis Xavier Church in St. Louis. This project solidified his reputation as one of the foremost designers of stained glass in the country. Frei Jr. became chairman of the board in 1963 and passed away in 1967.
