Baker who improved electric bread slicer lived here

Gustav Papendick, owner of Papendick's Bakery Co. in St. Louis, was credited for improving the electric bread slicer while owning this home. Papendick purchased the second electric bread slicer made and improved the machine in 1930 by making it able to wrap a sliced loaf automatically.
