Uncle Tupelo and Son Volt singer owns this home

by BlockShopper Historian published Aug. 31, 2009

Jay Farrar, one of the alt-country's founding fathers, owns this home. Farrar, along with current Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy, formed seminal act Uncle Tupelo in the 1980's. After Uncle Tupelo split up in 1994, Farrar founded another alt-country group, Son Volt. Farrar recorded his first solo album Sebastopol in 2001 while owning this home.
