Jayant Kumar and Jyotsna Gupta bought a three-bedroom, two-bath home at 491 Speyer Place in St. Peters from Hyung W. Kang and Su J. Chun for $310,000 on Aug. 19.

Kang and Chun paid $356,883 for the property in March 2006. The 2,594-square-foot house in the St. Charles South of 70 neighborhood was built in 2005.

Mr. Kumar has been a senior software engineer at Nova Software Inc. Prior to that, he worked as a software engineer at the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, a senior software engineer at Bearingpoint Inc., a programmer and analyst at Watlow Electric and as a software engineer at Selectica Inc.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 935 home sales in St. Peters during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $157,500.
