Mayers is a forward with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He joined the team prior to the 2008-09 season, after spending 1996-2008 with the St. Louis Blues.

He was drafted in the third round of the 1993 NHL Draft and became a regular with the Blues during the 1998-99 season, scoring four goals and handing out five assists in 34 games. He scored seven goals in 71 games this past season with the Maple Leafs, and he has 78 goals and 96 assists in 666 career NHL games.
